U.S. House of Representatives- Office of Congressman Steve Stivers       

Southeast Regional Director

• Responsible for managing Congressman Stivers’ Lancaster Office including supervision of the field staff, constituent outreach and coordinating the Congressman’s schedule and the office’s activities in the six counties located in the Southeastern part of the 15th Congressional District.

• He also served as the Service Academy Coordinator handling the numerous applications of students seeking a Congressional Nomination to attend one of the four service academies.

• Participated in meetings with elected officials, businesses and constituents and also represented the Congressman in meetings and at events throughout the entire 15th Congressional District.

• As the County Manager, his responsibilities included communicating with the elected officials and directing the day-to-day activities and operations of the Commissioners’ office and provided administrative support to the divisions of county government under jurisdiction of the Board of Commissioners.  He also made recommendations to the Board in areas of policy development and administrative matters.

• As the County Clerk, he prepared the formal Commission meeting agendas and kept the minutes from the Commissioners’ meetings, maintained the Commissioners’ calendar and scheduled appointments for the Commissioners, county boards and committees.  He also processed petitions for annexation and public road vacations, handled the Commissioners’ office records management, public records requests and made recommendations on matters to be resolved by the County Commissioners.   

• He worked with a company to develop custom software that has created a paperless workflow for the county departments to submit items weekly to the Commissioners for their approval.  This change has taken a labor intensive process and improved efficiency by saving a lot of staff time which has created a nearly paperless process which has now been implemented countywide.
